The scent of immortal magic and mystery…

There is a beautiful mansion in the country, surrounded by the deep dark woods, wherein a beautiful and infamous lady resides. Much has been said of her wicked ways…but no one truly knows either her heart or her soul. But we are curious to learn of her.

Let us presume to spy upon her in the growing dusk: the high-born dark-haired lady seated at her rosewood vanity, an ornate silver mirror in her hand. She picks up a few items of adornment…a lovely necklace of amber and citrine, crimson stain for her lips and cheeks, kohl for her wide bright eyes.

But oh! She has seen us! Surprisingly she beckons us inside her boudoir with a graceful extend of a pale hand…entirely unlined. But these tales have been told for decades and yet, she looks no more than a mere girl on the bud of maturity, dewy-skinned and flirtatiously smiling. Her sumptuous red gown rustles as she faces the mirror once more, taking up a crystal flagon and removing the stopper…the fragrance is heady and worldly, imbued with the mystery of Woman.

"Ah, you wonder what my secret is, don't you darling? Such scandalous stories they tell! Some women are just too perfect to be touched by time, ma cherie. One must constantly care for one's appearance if one wishes to be forever memorable."

The sun descends beyond the wood and we are suddenly chilled. Her smile, while still captivating, seems to be frozen in place.

"Now I must beg your indulgence, ma petite chou-chou, it is time for my beauty ritual."

She holds the flagon aloft and…is it a trick of the light? For we seem to see a dazzling prism within the liquid.

"One does not bathe in it, darling, such a waste! One needs only a few drops to achieve my kind of beauty."

As she rises from her seat and leaves the room…is it another illusion which makes it seem she had no reflection in the mirrors?

The beautiful perfumes released in August 2009 (our September collection) were developed by the lovely ladies of our discussion forum. They worked hard to put together ideas for gorgeous scents, artistic labels, and enticing descriptions, but allowed us to do the brewing for them.
